Rising Star

Colten recieved "The Rising Star" award at school. He was so excited that he got this. This was the first reward he had recieved at school. Last year (1st grade) was such a hard year for him since he missed about 21 days of school with medical issues and then the accident. But he worked very hard and got his grades up at the end of last school year, so I was really surprised that he didn't recieve this last year. But anyway, he was the rising star for the 2nd quarter. But Colten knows he is always mommy's star! ;) Love you Boo!

The Best Of Both Worlds

For Madison's birthday, we got her Hannah Montana concert tickets. She was so surprised when she opened them up. She kept asking, "Are these real tickets??" I finally convinced her that they were. She was ecstatic. Then she was doubly excited when she found out that we were taking her cousin Brooke and the concert was the very next night.

On the evening of the concert, Madison, Brooke, Nana (my mom) and I headed down to Westgate which is right next to the arena where the concert is. We went to Johnny Rockets for dinner. Apparantley, everyone else had the same plan because the line was out the door. It wasn't too bad of a wait though. It was fun to see all the girls dressed up like Hannah Montana or wearing shirts and jewelry with her on it. Too cute!

Here are some pictures from the concert. We had pretty good seats, but I did take a few pictures of the big screen to try and get the close-up shot.

They had the time of their life!!!

HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY MADISON

WoW!! Double digits. I can't believe how time has flown by. You have grown into such a beautiful young lady that your dad and I are so grateful for and proud of. You amaze me with your abilities to love and nurture. You are such a fun-loving girl that has unstoppable energy and is always full of hugs and kisses- no matter the time of day. You love with your whole heart. I am so proud of everything you do and I know that you have such a bright future ahead of you. I love how you love to hang out with me and do girly things :) I hope that you never grow too old to cuddle with me the way we do now. I remember my thoughts and emotions and how perfect you were when you were born. I remember hardly being able to breathe... probably partly from just having a baby, but truly, you took my breath away. I think it was the way you felt in my arms. The moment you were placed in my arms, tears started rolling down my cheeks. I was smitten. I would have died on the spot for you. It just happened naturally to me. Instant, absolute, pure love. I remember trying to fall asleep that first night, (yeah right! You were up squawking for most of it!) and thinking to myself that my heart could burst- I had no idea I was capable of so much love. I love you so much Madison. It's been a wonderful 10 years and I am looking forward to watching you grow from a young lady into a young woman.

Love,
Mom

Birthday Bash!

Madison had her 10th Birthday Party at Amazing Jakes. She had a blast!! It's sort of like a small indoor amusement park. It has rides, bumper cars, games, bowling and even laser tag. It's pretty crazy in there. Was very packed! She had to work hard blowin' all those candles out. 10...whew!

Here's the part of the gang on The Frog Hopper. That one was pretty popular. It goes up and down.....and....up and down...and.....lol

Hahahaha!! I LoVe this picture of the boys. (Colten, Austin and Ryan) It's like a boy's Charlie's Angels. LOL LOL! This was them all geared up to go in for Laser Tag. They had such a blast in there. They all came out so sweaty.

Here's Colten in the teacups. I can't
even watch those things without getting sick. But, he really seems to enjoy it.

A birthday group photo! It was a great time had by all.

Snow Much Fun!!!!!

Today we went sledding up in Flagstaff. The kids LOVE doing this. We've tried the skiing, but we've decided that is just not the sport for us...lol :) It was a beautiful day when the sun finally decided to peak out. It had been pretty cloudy most of the morning with a few snow showers. But hey, whats being up in the snow without it atleast snowing on you a little bit. I do try and see the bright side of things....hee hee.

Here are Madison and Colten just as they are getting ready to sled down the hill. So cute!!

GOOD TIMES! GOOD TIMES!

Most Trustworthy

Madison was voted Most Trustworthy by her classmates. All school year long they have had different characteristics that are talked about. A student is chosen from each classroom every month by their classmates for each characteristic.
I of course think she has all of them, but it is so great that her classmates/peers voted that she is trustworthy. That is is a great characteristic to have! That will definately take you far in life. Good job Maddie.
